SAME was born in Treviglio in 1942 as an industry in the field of tractors and engines. The origins of this great Italian story date back to 1927, when the founders Francesco and Eugenio Cassani developed the project for an agricultural tractor among the first in the world powered by a diesel engine, the 40 HP Cassani tractor.

Today SAME is part of the SDF group, one of the leading manufacturers of tractors, harvesters and diesel engines in the world.
